great book series for beginning readers!! My four year old son took an interest in wanting to read more than just words on a flash card. This book is great because my son relates to it with having a little sister, playing some of the same games splat does, and he likes that splat is his favorite ‘color’. This book series is good at keeping it funny and interesting and has a good amount for a child to read. Which keeps my son wanting to read it every day resulting in him learning to read so far two books from this series on his own and now reads them to his little sister. will definitely buy this entire series and would recommend it to anyone teaching their kids to read for the first time.
